Well,

No ulcers! No hiatal hernia! No bad errosions.

There's some kind of build up of bile in my stomach that's probably what is upsetting the acid reflux, but that's kind of what we had guessed--the medications I'm on, protonix 2x a day and zantac 1x a night, will help with all of that. And I should be a lot better in a month! WOO! So that's exciting.

So, I'm still a bit woozy and happy from the various IV drugs they gave me, but that's fine because I'm in a good mood. And I'm feeling well enough, albeit a little out of it, so I'm going to try and get on that train tonight, come back to Boston (hah, I'll get in at like midnight) and go to class tomorrow! I'm excited about that.

later, my friends

So, I've had stomach troubles for a while, reflux which is a) common in singers b) common in my family. That was exacerbated when I had the gastroenteritis (stomach flu) back iin November, and since then I've had a lot of issues with my stomach. It all started to get really bad, and so I went to see a gasteroenterologist the other day who upped my medications for my stomach, which is already helping a little, but is also making me stay in New York for an endoscopy she scheduled on Monday, to make sure that I have no ulcers or errosions in my esophagus or a hiatal hernia or any of those other unpleasantries--however, most likely I do not and it is just, as I said, an exacerbation caused by the stomach flu that can heal over time with the medications I'm on.

So, I mean, that's good..but I probably have to miss the first day of classes, which is a little sad. We'll see, I might try to trudge out to Boston after my endoscopy anyway.

I want to be in Boston. I miss everyone.

Happy New Year, folks.

Tonight was excellent--spent at Marie's Crisis (a piano bar on Christopher St in NY) in good company--with Jenny, her sister, Mark, Miles, David, Russ, etc. Sang around a piano all night long while drinking weak whiskey sours, hah. Got hit on at the end of the night when the boys around finally figured out my sexuality, which was hilarious considering I had been singing showtunes all night.

I'm excited about 2008. We'll see.

Hello, Livejournal.

Well Howdy!

As you may or may not notice/care since I haven't updated in...well over a year, I've made all of my past posts dissapear. They're private--I thought it would be a shame to delete them all, it's fun to remind myself as to...well, my thought processes over the years, but I'm starting this journal a new! I was in a very reflective mood and was inspired to start journaling again, it can be a good outlet for emotions.

I could try to fill anyone in who might read this about what has happened in my life in the past year+...but I'm probably going to fail miserably. Anyway, I'm a senior now at Emerson, still studying acting, going into my last semester and on winter break. I just got out of a very significant 1 year+ relationship with a guy who was wonderful, but our relationship had problems that finally were taking enough of a toll that it needed a rest. We remain good friends.

I recently had one of the most positive experiences I ever have had doing theatre--I was cast as Roy, The Institute Man, and A Doctor in Emerson Stage's production of "Bat Boy". The cast was full of the most wonderful people I could wish to work with, I really feel blessed (and that's a word I almost never use) to have been a part of that experience. Especially not being a musical theatre major.

Also, another wonderful thing has come into my life--a person, that is, a new roommate, Katie-Coral. She completed the apartment, and my apartment is now home. It really is--between her and Sasha, it's just a wonderful place to be living. We stay up all night and eat pizza while watching "The Golden Girls."

I'm glad that there are people who are still in my life, I'm glad that there are people who re-entered my life, I'm glad for the new people. I have a lot of great friends that I'm really thankful for at this point. And, of course, I'm grateful for the new kitten we have. Her name is Ozzie. Don't ask, I didn't pick the name.

I'm thinking this upcoming year is going to be a good one. It'll be an interesting one, and for once I can very truthfully say I have NO CLUE as to where I'll be in a year. None at all. I'm starting to feel a pull towards the West Coast, which is surprising for me... but I might want to go. I also very well might stay in Boston another year. If I do move out there...everyone has to promise to visit, hah.

I think I'm going to enjoy updating this again.
